Dominguez a Marlin?

I haven’t gotten confirmation as of yet, but word is that Matt Dominguez, the No. 12 overall pick, has agreed to terms with the Florida Marlins. I’ve heard the bonus will be for $1.7 million, which is above (by $100,000) what last year’s No. 12 pick, Kasey Kiker, got. It’s the same bonus as what No. 14 pick Jason Heyward got from the Braves and is slightly above what is believed to be the suggested 2007 slot, for whatever that’s worth.

It will be interesting if this will get things moving with some of the other first rounders. More on that in a little while.
