Filling in the blanks: Kyle Weiland
With a projectable, wiry type body that should fill out as he matures, Weiland has an intriguing three-pitch mix. His fastball's got serious sink and gets cranked up to 91-94 mph. It's a strikeout pitch and also generates plenty of ground balls. His slider can be a plus pitch, but gets slurvy at times. He doesn't use the changeup much, but it has the chance to be an average offering. Many teams think he has the stuff and delivery to start and he could be used in that role once he is drafted.

He was pretty nasty the day I saw him. I've heard he was really inconsistent before so that sort of just backs up what I've heard before. Do you think his success just comes down to if he can improve his command?
I think the first time I saw him, he gave up 2 H, 1 B and 1 R in 1 IP of work with 1 K.
The second time I think he gave up 0 H, 0 BB and 0 R in 1 IP and 1 K.
Neither were save situations but his FB looked good both days.
